Get in Contact with Ty Enfys Care Home
Ty Enfys is a leading, purpose-built care home in Pentywn on the outskirts of Cardiff. Having recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, we are proud to be able to offer award-winning design initiatives in addition to our high standard of residential, nursing and dementia care. Ty Enfys has also recently featured on an ITV News Report as an example of best practise in a care home.
Ty Enfys is recognised as a unique care home where residents are enabled to carry on living a fulfilling life, and supported to continue with the daily activities and routines they would have done in their own home. From cookery club to gardening club or simply collecting a paper from the shop each morning, residents are supported to do whatever it is that makes them happy.
Facilities at Ty Enfys include a café, pub and the very popular ‘Farmhouse Kitchen’ – an area where residents can bake bread, prepare vegetables and generally just make the most of a safe, homely kitchen environment; a setting most of us are used to. The dining rooms feature open serveries that allow residents to help themselves to food and drink.
In addition to residential care, Ty Enfys also offers nursing care to residents with both simple and complex nursing needs. Meanwhile, our dedicated dementia care community features subtle design differences to help accommodate residents with reduced cognitive abilities that may be experienced with dementia.
All our care follows our unique relationship-centred care philosophy, which revolves around recognising the unique needs and expectations of each individual. Every care package is tailored to meet the individual emotional, physical and social needs of our residents.
Pop in to the Ty Enfys Café for a cup of coffee and slice of cake, and see for yourself why we are one of the leading care homes in Pentywn!

Meet the team
Sujjata Singh - General Manager
I am the general manager at Ty Enfys and have been here for five years. I completed my nursing degree in 1984 and then worked in the Middle East until 1999, gaining experience in nursing, psychiatric medicine and oncology. I have trekked the Great Wall of China for the Alzheimer’s Society and will be taking part in many more challenging feat’s to support them.
Lily Roberta Chapman - Lifestyle Coordinator
I am the Lifestyle Coordinator at Ty Enfys and have been since June 2014. I get great job satisfaction out of my role and working closely with the residents, getting to know their likes, dislikes and life histories which are always fascinating; it’s the biggest perk of the job. I have lived in Cardiff since attending Cardiff University in 2008 and I couldn’t see myself anywhere else! Organising trips, events and entertainment allows myself and the residents to see all the great things that Cardiff has to offer.
Tess Biggs - Business Administrator
I am the Business Administrator here at Ty Enfys and have worked with Hallmark Care Homes for the last 6 years. My role is to ensure that overall administration is delivered to a high standard at all times. Meeting people is what I enjoy most in my job and making residents happy is very rewarding.
Barbara Wills - Hospitality Services Manager
I am the Hospitality Services Manager at Ty Enfys Care Home. I joined Ty Enfys in November 2009 after a long career in the Civil Service.
I have a special interest in the care of the elderly and particularly in the area of dementia care, something that is personally close to my heart. I am passionate about enabling our residents who live with a form of dementia and also supporting their loved ones who find themselves doing this ‘journey’ on their own.
Eileen Edwards - Deputy Manager
I am the deputy Manager at Ty Enfys Care Home having joined in 2008.
I have a vast experience in all areas of Nursing; with a degree module in Palliative Care and I recently completed a course in ‘Dementia Care’ specifically targeted at Nurses.
I am very well respected within the Nursing community in Cardiff and the Vale and have always been most compassionate and touched the lives of many. I am a strong mentor, teacher and lead by example.
