What’s Occuring?

The residents of Merthyr Tydfil based Greenhill Manor care Home, recently took a trip to the home of Gavin and Stacey, Barry Island.  Ian Joll and Lisa James, had the opportunity to visit the famous Marco’s Café, featured in the popular BBC program, Gavin and Stacey.

The residents enjoyed a drink outside Marco’s café and admired the view over the waterfront and the atmosphere of Barry Island. They visited several locations made famous by the hit television show and tried their luck on the fruit machines in Nessa’s Arcade.

When asked about the trip, Ian said, “It was amazing and a very fun day out.  I would
like to come again soon.”

One of the Greenhill Manor care team accompanying Ian and Lisa said, “It was a very enjoyable day. To see the residents so happy was amazing to see and made our day.”
