Hallmark in Bloom 2014

Hallmark in Bloom is our glorious annual gardening contest where homes across the Hallmark family compete to have their gardens crowned the greatest in a range of categories.

This year’s Hallmark in Bloom takes place between 14th and 25th July, kicking off with Tuxford Manor Care Home in the picturesque village of Tuxford in Nottinghamshire. The competition is judged by Thrive, our charity gardening partners and experts in using the therapeutic benefits of gardening to the benefit of older people. We utilise Thrive’s expertise throughout the year to ensure our care teams have the skills needed to enable our residents to make the most of the homes’ outdoor spaces.

Judging categories and criteria are centred on the involvement of our residents and the recording of gardening activity – ensuring that gardening is a year-round activity and not limited to the two weeks of Hallmark in Bloom. Check out this year’s categories below:
