Cartref Annwyl-Fan Care Home raises over £700 for Welsh Air Ambulance
Cartref Annwyl-Fan, our care home in Carmarthenshire, recently raised over £700 for Welsh Air Ambulance.
Team members at the home, which provides nursing, residential and dementia care, raised the funds by hosting community BBQs, raffles and a non-uniform day for home employees.
Funds were donated to the Welsh charity, which provides emergency air cover for those who face life-threatening illness or injuries after realising what a vital service is provides to the community.
Adele Williams, General Manager at Cartref Annwyl-Fan said: “It’s a pleasure to support such an essential service like Wales Air Ambulance. The team have worked really hard to come up with a sizable donation.”
Community Coordinator for Welsh Air Ambulance, Clive Scourfield, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at Cartref Annwyl Fan Care Home for raising money for us.
“We rely entirely on donations to fund the cost of our three helicopters in the North, Mid and South of Wales, which costs over £6 million each year. “Each time the helicopter attends an incident it costs on average £1,500. The £710 raised will go towards helping to fund a potentially lifesaving mission.”
