Ty Enfys Recognises Star Team Members at Awards Ceremony
Ty Enfys, our care home in Cardiff, recently celebrated our company-wide ‘Team Recognition’ event with an awards ceremony held locally.
The notable employees ranging from Kitchen Assistants to Care Assistants were thanked for their efforts at the event with individual awards and a party for the care home team. The categories including, ‘Best Newcomer’ and ‘Best Team Player’ were decided by Ty Enfys General Manager Sujjata Singh. The winners were chosen by their colleagues who voted at the home in the lead up to the event.
Sujjata said: “The awards ceremony was a great evening had by all. It’s incredibly important that as a care provider we recognise the amazing work our team members do and applaud them for their efforts.”
The winners included, Nurse Saramma Thomas and Housekeeper Terry Hallsworth who were awarded a ‘Long Service Award’ for their dedication to the home and Nurse Omana Madhavan who was noted for her outstanding care with a ‘Above and Beyond Award.’
The Ty Enfys awards ceremony, was only one of the events which took place across our homes last week to celebrate and recognise our amazing team members for Team Recognition Day. As the name suggests, Team Recognition Day is a designated day of the year we take the time to thank our teams across Hallmark and acknowledge their efforts.
From formal events, gifts and treats each of our homes celebrated Team Recognition Day in their own unique way. This year, the team at Admiral Court held a family fun day at the home with a bouncy castle and hog roast for employees and their loved ones. Meanwhile, team members at Shire Hall and Greenhill Manor were treated to massages, haircuts and raffle prizes.
Ty Enfys recently extended their team recognition event to the other Welsh homes by hosting a quiz night, which encouraged each care home team to bond and have fun. Representatives from Bryn Celyn, Cartref Annwyl Fan, Cherry Tree, Cwrt Enfys, Greenhill Manor, Regency House, Shire Hall, The Hollies and Ty Enfys took part. Team members from Greenhill Manor were crowned winner, Ty Enfys came a close second and Cherry Tree was third place.
