Hallmark Care Homes; Anya Court, Alexandra Grange and Ty Enfys shortlisted for national gardening award

Our care homes; Anya Court in Rugby, Alexandra Grange in Wokingham and Ty Enfys in Cardiff have been shortlisted for a national gardening award.

The homes are in the running for an award in the ‘Inspiration Street’ category in the nation-wide Cultivation Street competition.

The competition, founded by celebrity gardener David Domoney, seeks to bring a sense of pride back to the streets of the UK and acknowledge gardens whose residents have come together to make it look spectacular against the odds.

The winners of each category will receive £500 in gardening vouchers and an honourable mention in The Sunday People.

Managing director of Hallmark Care Homes and chair of Care England, Avnish Goyal said: “It is wonderful to hear that three of our homes have been shortlisted in this competition.

“Anyone regardless of age and disability can get involved in gardening and we actively encourage all of our residents to get involved and make use of our outdoor space be it by planting pots, creating an outdoor piece of artwork or simply sitting in the garden and joining in with the conversation.”

The winners will be announced in the next few weeks.
