Ty Enfys launches dementia support café

Ty Enfys, our care home in Cardiff, has launched a dementia support café at the home to encourage carers of those living with dementia to get together and support each other.

The drop in dementia support café will be open the last Wednesday of every month between 2 pm and 4 pm and will be hosted by the care home’s Dementia Friend and Manager Sujjata Singh.

Ty Enfys General Manager, Sujjata Singh said: “We have decided to launch a dementia café at our home and make use of our facility as there is no common venue for carers of people living with dementia in this part of Cardiff.

“The café will offer a support network for carers, a place they can come together and share knowledge and life experiences.

“There will also be an opportunity at some sessions to extend your knowledge of dementia further with various guest speakers.”
