Maycroft Manor launch dementia support café
Maycroft Manor, our care home in Brighton, will launch a dementia support café at the home to encourage carers and those who live with dementia to get together and support each other.
The drop in dementia support café will be open the third Wednesday of every month between 2:00pm and 4:00pm and will be hosted by the care home’s Dementia Champion and Customer Relationship Manager, Lisa Vile.
The first dementia support café session will commence on Wednesday 18th May.
Maycroft Manor’s Customer Relationship Manager, Lisa Vile said: “We have decided to launch a dementia support café at our home to raise awareness of the condition.
“The café will offer a support network for carers and those who live with dementia, a place they can come together and share knowledge and life experiences.
“There will also be an opportunity at some sessions to extend your knowledge of dementia further with various guest speakers.”
