Admiral Court hosts Hallmark Care Homes first charity car show.

On Saturday 23rd July, Admiral Court, our care home in Leigh-on-Sea, will host Hallmark Care Homes’ very first charity car show. The home will welcome residents, families and members of the local community for a fun-filled afternoon of celebrations and entertainment.

The event, which is in aid of fulfilling a resident’s Christmas wish, which was for a supercar to visit the home, will be raising money for educational charity The Outward Bound Trust and local specialist school, St Christopher’s.

Between 1:30pm and 4:30pm, Admiral Court’s forecourt will be home to a Ferrari California, a Rolls Royce Ghost, a Figaro, a classic Mini Cooper and an Austin Healey, amongst many more beautiful cars, both old and new. Entertainment from 1950’s singers, Rita & Ray and singing duo The Everlyns will be sure to set the mood, whilst you view the cars and reminisce.

If you’re not really into cars, that’s okay too. We have an afternoon of food and entertainment suitable for all ages. Whether it’s a Rossi’s ice cream that you’re after or a delicious British BBQ, followed by a browse around our local produce stalls.

The event has been organised in response to a wish made by resident Brian Leeks, who wished for a supercar to visit the home as part of our Christmas wish competition, ‘Lucky Star.’  All 15 Hallmark Care Homes, took part in the competition, which encourages residents to make a wish, no matter how big or small. At the beginning of the year, Managing Director, Avnish Goyal chose one wish from each home to make come true. Wishes granted so far include taking a resident to see Peter Andre in concert and a resident being chauffer driven to the iconic The Ritz Hotel in London, to celebrate her 95th birthday with her family.
