Shire Hall to hold a Dementia Friends session – 12th and 18th August

Shire Hall, our care home in Cardiff, is holding a Dementia Friends’ session at the home to encourage visitors to learn more about the condition and help raise awareness.
The event will be taking place on Friday 12th and Thursday 18th August 2016 between 4:00pm and 5:00pm.
The informal and interactive session will be run by the homes Dementia Champion, Jonathan Walters, who is the Customer Relationship Manager at Shire Hall.
The short session will explore what it’s like to live with dementia, how you can make someone who lives with dementia live a fulfilled life and the small things you can do to make a difference.
Visitors who complete the session will receive a Dementia Friends’ badge and some takeaway material from The Alzheimer’s Society.
