Hallmark team member set to trek 28-miles for Alzheimer’s Society
Admiral Court’s Customer Relationship Manager, Kelly Adams is taking part in her very own Memory Walk to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Kelly, 35 has already beaten her target of £1,000, raising £1,350 for the charity which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia. She will walk a grueling 28 miles, setting off in the early hours of the morning, trekking between our two Essex care homes; Admiral Court in Leigh-on-Sea and Anisha Grange in Billericay.
Kelly, who is a Dementia Champion for the Alzheimer’s Society and has already made 307 people Dementia Friends this year, said: “There wasn’t a Southend Memory Walk arranged this year, so I thought I’d do my own and something a bit more creative, having worked in both Anisha Grange and Admiral Court this seemed like a good idea, so I can see the residents at both ends, making them a part of the day. I’m looking forward to the challenge now!”
The determined team member is expected to complete the walk which is to take around 10 hours on Friday 30th September.
We will be supporting her all the way, with celebrations and refreshments for when she arrives at each end. If you would like to support her too by making a donation, click here.
