Love is in the care
Hallmark Care Homes will spread a bit of love this Valentine’s Day by giving out beautiful roses to our residents.
Over 1000 wooden roses will be distributed by the care team to residents from each of our 15 care homes, across England and Wales.
The thoughtful activity, which has been aided by Anita at charity, Anita’s Angels, helps to build on those important relationships between the care team and the residents.
Avnish Goyal, Managing Director of Hallmark Care Homes said: “This Valentine’s Day, our care team are going to distribute over 1000 roses to our residents with an accompanying card.
“The aim is to make our residents feel special this Valentine’s Day, and let them know that we are there for them, and that we value our relationship with them as our greatest asset.
“Many of our residents have not received a rose in years, while others have not received a rose in their lifetime. We hope that giving the residents a rose on Valentine’s Day will bring a smile to their face and show them how much we care.”
Regency House and Shire Hall, our care homes in Cardiff, will also be host to, Cardiff restaurateur, Giovanni Malacrino and three Miss World contestants, who will aid the care team in distributing roses to the residents.
Cherry Tree, our care home in Caldicot, celebrations will also include a pop-up café, where residents will be invited to spend quality time with their significant other over a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
Meanwhile, residents at Kew House, our care home in Wimbledon, will be enjoying some cuddles from animals, and some heart shaped biscuits, homemade by resident John Sprake. In the evening, couples in the home will be wined and dined by our hospitality team in a private dining room.
