Fearless team at Alexandra Grange trek to Stonehenge for charity

Four members of the care team at Alexandra Grange will be taking part in a 26-mile trek in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Dementia Care Lead Andrina Andrews, Clinical Care Manager Ruben Hidalgo, Lead Senior Care Assistant Chally Chilimboyi and Care Assistant Kayleigh Barrie will be taking part in the marathon trek with the hope of raising £4,000 for the specialist dementia charity.

The hike around south Wiltshire will take in the beautiful views of the British countryside and will include hiking up the steep chalk downs and walking through ancient ground works and burial grounds.

The home plan on raising the funds with various fundraising events within the home involving residents and their families, as well as accepting donations on a justgiving page. So far, the team have already raised over £700!

Andrina, who initiated the walk said “We want to take part in this amazing challenge to help make a difference to those individuals who are living with dementia, as well as creating further awareness of this life limiting disease and help individuals to never feel alone.

“At Alexandra Grange, we value people and our relationships with them, and give rise to new beginnings and new futures, especially for those living with dementia.”
