Hallmark grants 95-year-old resident’s wish for a shopping spree

An Anisha Grange resident enjoyed a shopping trip and afternoon tea experience with her son after winning our Christmas wish-granting competition, Lucky Star.

Patricia Mann, 95 enjoyed an all-expenses paid shopping trip to Lakeside followed by afternoon tea at nearby Orsett Hall.

Her visit was arranged by management at our Billericay home after Pat wished to go on a shopping spree as part of our national wish granting competition called Lucky Star.

Pat was announced as one of the winners in January.

Patricia said: “I had such a lovely afternoon shopping. It was great to have a look around all of the shops and see how everything has changed since I last visited Lakeside and the afternoon tea was delicious. Having my son Phil with me for the occasion just made it perfect!”

Customer Relationship Manager at Anisha Grange Care Home, Sara Tupper said: “I am delighted that Patricia had such a good time shopping, as it is something she has always loved doing. She also thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea and the amazing service she received at Orsett Hall.

“Pat is such a kind and wonderful lady and I am so happy that we have been able to make this wish come true for her. It’s just another example of the relationship-centred care that we aim to provide to the residents at Anisha Grange.”
