Ty Enfys puts on 1950’s bash

Ty Enfys, our care home in Pentwyn, Cardiff hosted its annual 1950’s rock ‘n’ roll BBQ at the weekend for residents, relatives and members of the local community.

The residential, dementia and nursing home put on a swinging celebration for guests with a party complete with 1950’s props and entertainment provided by Elvis impersonator, Jimmy Elvis.

During the day, residents and visitors played themed games and enjoyed a taste of the rock ‘n’ roll era by treating themselves to burgers, fries and homemade milkshakes.

Lifestyle Leader at Ty Enfys Lily Chapman said: “The rock ‘n’ roll BBQ is now a fun and established yearly event that we always look forward to once summer starts!

“Friends and family come for the day specifically and we all have such a great time! We indulged in burgers, shakes and fries to really get into the American rock ‘n’ roll feel and Jimmy Elvis always puts on such a fantastic show.”
