Anya Court Care Home to hold dementia support café
Anya Court, our care home in Rugby, is hosting a regular dementia support café at the home to encourage carers and those who live with dementia to get together and support each other.
The drop in dementia support café is very popular and has evolved to not only offer support, but invites knowledgeable guest speakers to share advice. They take place on the second Tuesday of every month at 2.30pm and are hosted by the care home’s Dementia Champion and Customer Relationship Manager, Karen Handley.
The upcoming sessions will welcome even more advice from guest speakers:
- Tuesday 10th October – Kirsty McEveney the Dementia Support Manager from the Alzheimers Society
- Tuesday 7th November – Taruna Chauhan from the Dementia Action Alliance
- Tuesday 12th December – Mince Pies & Mulled Wine Christmas Celebrations
On Wednesday 20th November the home will also be launching a Sing Along Memory Café to enable visitors and residents to make music, have fun and share experiences over a drink and cake. This will become a monthly event, taking place on the third Monday of every month.
