Hallmark Care Homes shortlisted for three National Care Awards
We’re pleased to announce that three of our team members have been shortlisted for this year’s National Care Awards.
Nurse, Lily Vladu from Regency House, our care home in Cardiff, has been recognised in the Care Registered Nurse category for her dedication to the residents she supports and her commitment to a high level of professionalism in her role.
Lily said: “I’m excited to be nominated for this award as it’s a great personal achievement, but also a reflection of all the hard work and dedication shown by the team at Regency House.”
Next to receive a nod for these prestigious awards is Lifestyle’s Leader, Sue Edwards from Anisha Grange, our care home in Billericay. Her contribution to improving the quality of life, health and happiness of residents has put her in the running for the Activities Coordinator of the Year award.
Sue said: “It’s absolutely fantastic to be nominated! Me and my team are privileged to deliver a lifestyles programme designed around the residents’ interests that enables them to live life to the full.”
Last but certainly not least, Cheryl Wanklyn, our Operations Director has been nominated for the Lifetime Achievement in Care Award. Throughout her many years of service in the care industry, she’s had a hugely positive impact on the residents at our homes, as well as her colleagues.
Cheryl said: “I knew from the first day that I worked in a care home that I had found my vocation. I still have that passion and enthusiasm for delivering excellent care over 20 years later! I’m looking forward to the evening and celebrating my nomination with my colleagues.”
The black tie ceremony on Friday, 24 November marks the 19th consecutive year of the National Care Awards. The evening is a celebration of the most accomplished people within the long-term care sector and we’re thrilled that members of the Hallmark team have been recognised.
We’re looking forward to finding out the winners at the dazzling awards evening hosted by comedian, author and television presenter, David Baddiel.
