Shire Hall Care Home celebrates 10 years
Shire Hall, our care home in Cardiff celebrated 10 years since it first opened its doors recently with a Welsh-themed party for residents, relatives and members of the local community.
Our award-winning residential, nursing and dementia home, which welcomed its first residents in 2007, recognised individuals who have contributed to its success at the event with prosecco, Welsh cuisine and traditional entertainment.
The special event was culminated by speeches from the home’s General Manager Karen Grapes, the Mayor Cllr Bob Derbyshire and the care provider’s Managing Director, Avnish Goyal.
Karen who has worked at Shire Hall for ten years next April said: “We had a great day celebrating our 10th anniversary and the residents had a fabulous time.
“Shire Hall Care Home has had an amazing journey over the last 10 years, thanks to the continued support from residents, relatives, team members and members of the local community.
“All of the Shire Hall family are strongly committed to the home and foster an atmosphere of care and support that enables the residents to fulfil interesting and active lives and I am delighted to have been part of such a wonderful team for the last nine years. We are looking forward to marking our next milestone!”
Hallmark Care Homes Managing Director, Avnish Goyal said: “It is fantastic that we are celebrating Shire Hall providing 10 years of outstanding relationship-centred care and I am proud of everything that they have achieved.
“I want to thank everyone who has come along to help celebrate this monumental occasion!”
