Greenhill Manor Care Home celebrates 10 years
Greenhill Manor, our care home in Merthyr Tydfil celebrated 10 years since it first opened its doors recently, with a party for residents, relatives and members of the local community.
Our award-winning dementia and nursing home, which welcomed its first residents in 2007, recognised individuals who have contributed to its success at the event with champagne, canapés and professional entertainment.
To add to this momentous occasion, people attending the event were also invited to sample the delights of the Hallmark Care Homes’ Christmas Cake Competition which was judged on the day by local Labour MP Gerald Jones and included cakes from each Welsh Hallmark home.
The winners were residents of Cherry Tree Care Home in Caldicot who impressed the judges with their swan lake design.
The milestone event, which aimed to celebrate a decade of delivering excellent care was concluded by speeches from the home’s General Manager Mark McCole and the care provider’s Managing Director, Avnish Goyal.
Mark, who has been working at the home since 2009 said: “It has been a great opportunity for the residents and team to celebrate 10 years of delivering excellent care. Our team here, old and new, have been outstanding and I’ve had a great journey.”
Managing Director Avnish Goyal said: “I’m really proud that I am Managing Director of such a fabulous establishment. It’s great to be celebrating a decade with such an incredible team, many of them who have been here for the whole 10 years, seeing the energy and the excitement of celebrating is just incredible.”
