Anya Court Care Home receives visit from bespoke bridal shop

Anya Court, our award-winning care home in Rugby, recently celebrated the upcoming royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with a visit from a local bridal shop.

Sofya Bridal visited our residential, dementia and nursing care home to show interested residents a selection of their bespoke headpieces and dresses and talk about the upcoming nuptials in May this year.

As part of the special event, residents Joan Ridgway, 99 and Pat Westwood, 86, enjoyed reminiscing about their own wedding days and trying on Sofya Bridals’ wedding accessories.

Customer Relationship Manager at Anya Court Care Home, Karen Handley said: “It was lovely to see our residents trying on the hats and talking about their own weddings. The visit brought back a lot of happy memories for them.”

Sofya Bridal previously visited our care home last October to use the beautiful surroundings as a back drop for a photo shoot.

Owner of Sofya Bridal, Ann Pendlebury, said: “We so enjoyed our previous visit when we used Anya Court as the backdrop for our photo shoot and wanted to come back to spend some time with just the residents so that they could see the dresses and hats close up.”
