Make your own: memory frame

Learn how to make a memory frame in five easy steps by Sheila Charles, our Lifestyle’s Leader at Shire Hall Care Home in Cardiff.

What you will need:

• Box frame, choose your size to suit you (we are using 50cm x 50cm)
• Reel of double-sided tape
• Glue gun (or strong glue)
• Scissors
• Photos
• Special or relevant objects, for example photos, models and coins

Method

Step 1

Get all the items you want to go in your frame and put them to one side.

Step 2

Cut out around some of the pictures so they are different sizes and shapes.

Step 3

Open the frame and lay out your pictures ready to fill and stick.

Step 4

Start building your picture using double-sided tape.

Step 5

Put your relevant objects in the frame. You can either glue these to the frame or leave them loose at the bottom.
