Greenhill Manor joins forces with ENRICH Cymru
Greenhill Manor, our care home in Merthyr Tydfil, has recently joined forces with ENRICH Cymru to become a ‘Research Ready Care Home.’
ENRICH Cymru is a research programme for care homes, co-hosted by the Centre for Ageing and Dementia Research and the Wales School for Social Care Research at Swansea University. It aims to improve the lives of residents and team members across Wales by developing and facilitating a network of ‘research ready’ care homes.
The network allows care homes to promote and exchange research ideas and knowledge and foster the co-creation of research relevant to the current issues in the care home sector.
Currently, ENRICH are exploring ways to develop a better understanding of the mental well-being of older adults in residential care with the goal to improve this issue across the board.
Clinical Care Manager at Greenhill Manor Care Home, Karen Beech said: “It is very exciting to be involved with ENRICH as I believe that care homes have a lot to offer in the field of research, and this has been neglected in the past.”
