Ty Enfys raises over £500 at charity summer fete
Ty Enfys, our care home in Pentwyn, Cardiff, recently raised over £500 at a summer fete hosted for residents, relatives and members of the local community.
The special event, held to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK and The Care Workers Charity, included activities such as a tombola, car wash, coconut shy and craft stalls.
The funds will go towards fuelling life-changing dementia research and supporting current, former and retired care workers who have fallen on hard times.
Police Community Support Officers and the Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor Dianne Elizabeth Rees, also came to join in with the celebrations.
Lifestyles Team Leader at Ty Enfys, Lily Chapman said: “Thank you to everyone who helped us raise so much money for our chosen charities. It was great to see so many friends and families turn up for such an amazing cause.
“Each year our fetes and fayres get bigger and better with the local community joining us to help raise money and to come and see what we have going on. We are over halfway to reaching our fundraising target for the year!”
