Alexandra Grange to host four Dementia Friends sessions

Alexandra Grange, our care home in Wokingham, is hosting four Dementia Friends’ sessions at the home to encourage visitors to learn more about the condition and help raise awareness.

The events will be taking place on:

Wednesday 22nd August at 3:00pm
Saturday 15th September at 11:00am
Wednesday 26th September at 2:00pm
Friday 19th October at 12:00pm

The informal and interactive sessions will be run by the homes Dementia Champion and Business Support Manager, Sylvia Lavan.

The short session, which is taught in partnership with The Alzheimer’s Society, explores what it is like to live with dementia, how you can make someone who lives with dementia live a fulfilled life and the small things you can do to make a difference.

Visitors who complete the sessions will receive a Dementia Friends’ badge and some takeaway material from The Alzheimer’s Society.
