Lakeview Care Home to host two Dementia Friends sessions

Lakeview, our care home in Lightwater, Surrey, is hosting two Dementia Friends’ sessions at the home to encourage visitors to learn more about the condition and help raise awareness.

The events will be taking place on Wednesday 5th September at 4:00pm and Monday 10th September at 4:00pm.

The informal and interactive sessions will be run by the homes Dementia Friends Champion and Lifestyles Team Leader, Krissi-Lea Dawson.

The short session, which is taught in partnership with The Alzheimer’s Society, explores what it is like to live with dementia, how you can make someone who lives with dementia live a fulfilled life and the small things you can do to make a difference.

Visitors who complete the sessions will receive a Dementia Friends’ badge and some takeaway material from The Alzheimer’s Society.
