Anisha Grange Care Home spreads festive cheer at charity Christmas fair
Anisha Grange, our care home on Outwood Common Road, welcomed over 100 residents, relatives and members of the local community to their charity Christmas fair on Saturday, where they raised over £650 for the Care Workers Charity.
Throughout the day, visitors to the home were invited to meet Santa and stroke his real-life reindeer, browse crafts from local businesses and enjoy festive cakes and biscuits.
The residents had also created their own crafts, chocolates and biscuits, that were on sale on the day to raise funds for the Care Workers Charity.
Visitors could also purchase tickets for a raffle with some fantastic prizes, including a Christmas food and wine hamper. There were also prizes up for grabs in the ‘name the teddy’ and ‘guess the weight of the Christmas cake’ competitions.
Lifestyles Team Member Sue Edwards said: “It was a lovely day that was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
“In September, our wonderful volunteer, Jeni Fuller, started running workshops to create some beautiful craft items with the residents to sell for our stall.
“Having the local business come along and the reindeers from J&C Party Pets made the day very special indeed.”
