Lakeview Care Home scoops two Surrey Care Awards

Lakeview, our care home in Lightwater, has scooped two prestigious titles at the Surrey Care Awards.

Our industry-leading care home won the ‘Care Team of the Year’ title as well as ‘Frontline Leader of the Year,’ which was awarded to Lifestyles Team Leader, Krissi-Lea Dawson.

Head Chef at Lakeview Care Home, Josh Pegado and Senior Care Assistant, Ellie Toogood, were also recognised as finalists in the ‘Ancillary Team Member of the Year’ and ‘Beyond the Call of Duty’ categories.

The esteemed awards which celebrated its 10th year on Friday, seeks to recognise and celebrate the exceptional contributions made by individuals and teams within the county’s workforce.

General Manager at Lakeview Care Home, Inderpreet Hanzra said: “It was a wonderful evening and I am so incredibly proud of the whole team at Lakeview, who demonstrate pride, passion and empathy each and every day to make the residents lives the best they can be.”

Krissi-Lea Dawson said: “I feel so proud and overwhelmed to have won the Frontline Leader of the Year award.

“The residents are at the heart of everything we do at Lakeview and it’s an absolute pleasure to work in their home. This is just the icing on the cake for me!”

The winners of the 2018 Surrey Care Awards were announced at a glittering ceremony at Epsom Downs Racecourse on November 9th hosted by radio personalities David ‘Diddy’ Hamilton and Sylvie Blackmore from BBC Surrey.

Entrants were judged on the positive impact they have on the residents in their care, their commitment to professional development and their overall contribution to the care sector.
