Love is in the care

Hallmark Care Homes will spread a bit of love this Valentine’s Day by giving out beautiful roses to our residents.

Over 1000 wooden roses will be distributed by the care team to residents from each of our 18 care homes across England and Wales for the third year running.

The thoughtful activity, which has been aided by Anita at charity, Anita’s Angels, helps to build on those important relationships between the care team and the residents.

Ram Goyal, Managing Director of Hallmark Care Homes said: “This Valentine’s Day, our care team are going to distribute over 1000 roses to our residents with an accompanying card.

“The aim is to make our residents feel special this Valentine’s Day, and let them know that we are there for them, and that we value our relationship with them as our greatest asset.

“Many of our residents have not received a rose in years, while others have not received a rose in their lifetime. We hope that giving the residents a rose on Valentine’s Day will bring a smile to their face and show them how much we care.”

In addition to giving out roses, the homes will be pulling out all the stops to make sure our residents are feeling the love this Valentine’s Day.

Arlington Manor, our newest care home in Cambridge, are inviting local nursery children into the home to hand out the roses to residents as part of our inter generational programme.

Residents at Kew House, our care home in Wimbledon, will celebrate the day by indulging in a Valentine’s Day themed dinner and tasting some delicious heart-shaped sweet treats.

Meanwhile, Alexandra Grange, our care home in Wokingham will be celebrating with a Valentine’s themed tea party.
