Anya Court to host dementia friendly cinema event – Wednesday 22nd May

Anya Court, our care home in Rugby, will host a free dementia friendly cinema event during Dementia Action Week on Wednesday 22nd May for residents and members of the local community living with dementia.

From 3:00pm, our residential, nursing and dementia home will show the popular 1950’s film, Singing in the Rain starring iconic film stars Debbie Reynolds and Gene Kelly.

For those individuals living with dementia, larger cinema screenings can be loud and confusing. By running this event, Anya Court are enabling those living with dementia in the local community, to have an enjoyable cinema experience in a safe, secure environment with our specially trained team members.

Complimentary refreshments and popcorn will be available throughout the duration of the 1hr 45 minute movie screening for everyone to enjoy.

After the movie, visitors are welcome to view the home’s state-of-the-art facilities, including our luxurious hair salon and therapy room, purpose built dementia community, award-winning landscaped gardens and vibrant café.
