Banstead Manor donates £500 to mark Pay It Forward Day
Banstead Manor, our new residential, dementia and nursing care home in Surrey has donated £500 to a local charity to mark Pay It Forward Day.
Representatives at Banstead Manor Care Home, which is set to open in May, donated the money to The Banstead Centre, a local Staywell day-care facility which provides members over 50 with activities such as art classes and table tennis, freshly prepared meals and relaxing therapy appointments.
The cheque was presented to mark the national awareness day, which encourages others to take part in a worldwide movement of performing random acts of kindness.
Customer Relationship Manager at Banstead Manor, Melissa Jorgensen said: “Banstead Manor is delighted to be donating this money to The Banstead Centre to mark Pay It Forward Day.
“The centre offers a fantastic service to the elderly people in our local area and extended communities and we hope to be able to support them in their future fundraising efforts.”
Centre Manager at the Banstead Centre, Lisa Barwick said: “I would like to take the opportunity to thank Banstead Manor Care Home on behalf of The Banstead Centre for your donation of £500.
“Your donation will go towards helping us to fulfil our mission to continually support the elder generation of Reigate and Banstead’s local community and surrounding areas by helping them to stay socially active as well as physically active.”
