Chamberlain Court Care Home hosts afternoon tea and jazz event

Chamberlain Court, our award-winning care home in Royal Tunbridge Wells, recently hosted an afternoon tea and jazz event for residents, their family and friends and members of the local community.

The home, on Mount Ephraim, hosted the celebration on Friday, which was attended by over 60 people, including the Mayor of Tunbridge Wells, Cllr Len Harwood, and his wife the Mayoress, Mrs Judy Harwood.

During the afternoon, visitors were treated to a delicious selection of homemade pastries and finger sandwiches, as well as a performance from The Roaring Twenties Orchestra, who entertained the visitors with an array of music through the ages.

Customer Relationship Manager, Vicki Pickering said: “The home was filled with music and residents and guests reminisced over familiar tunes from their past.

“The event was a great success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.”

A relative of a resident at Chamberlain Court, Miranda Grace said: “It was a very enjoyable and lively afternoon. It was a breath of fresh air!”
