Residents’ wish granted for afternoon tea

An Anya Court Care Home resident enjoyed a luxury afternoon tea experience with a member of the care team after winning our wish-granting competition.

Lisa Fisher, 90 recently enjoyed an all-expenses paid afternoon tea experience at Coombe Abbey Hotel.

Her visit was arranged by management at our residential, dementia and nursing home after Lisa wished to go for afternoon tea with the Lifestyle Leader as part of our national, Christmas wish-granting competition.

The competition called Lucky Star, encourages residents to write a wish of something they would like to have or do over the festive period.

Lisa was announced as one of the winners in January.

Lifestyle’s Leader, Sue Mitchell said: “It was a beautiful day out, and I am delighted that Lisa had such a great time, the smiles and laughter from Lisa made it all very special.

“Lisa is such a kind and wonderful lady and I am so happy that we have been able to make this wish come true for her. It’s just another example of the relationship-centred care that we aim to provide to the residents at Anya Court.”

Lisa Fisher, 90 said: “I had a wonderful time and the venue was wonderful as well.”
