We are delighted to announce that Hallmark team members have been shortlisted for four National Care Awards!

Alexandra Grange, our care home in Wokingham, has been shortlisted in the ‘Dignity and Respect Care Home’ category, alongside Michael Scannella, Second Chef at Banstead Manor Care Home in Surrey, who has been shortlisted in the ‘Care Chef’ category.

Meanwhile, team member at Ty Enfys Care Home in Cardiff, Leah Howells, has been shortlisted in the ‘Care Housekeeper’ category.

Hallmark Care Homes has also been shortlisted for the esteemed ‘Care Home Group of the Year’ category, which seeks to recognise exceptional quality care across all the services it offers.

The National Care Awards, first established 21 years ago by leading care publication, Caring Times, aims to recognise and celebrate the very best people in the long-term care sector.

Lifestyles Team Leader at Alexandra Grange, Katriona Beeton said: ‘We are extremely honoured to be nominated at the National Care Awards for Dignity and Respect Care Home of the Year.

“The team at Alexandra Grange recognise that dignity and respect is where care both begins and ends each day, it is paramount in their daily support routine whether they are in the domestic, kitchen, maintenance, admin or care team.”

Michael said: “It is an honour to be part of the Hallmark Family and I am overwhelmed by the opportunity to represent Banstead Manor at the National Care Awards 2019.

“The experience has been both challenging and exhilarating and I am humbled to be able to showcase my love and passion for food through such a prestigious platform. Thank you.”

Also speaking of the prestigious shortlisting, Leah said: “It’s is an honour to be nominated for the National Care Awards, to put into words how this experience has made me feel wouldn’t be possible, from the nomination alone to the build up to the awards night is indescribable and something I feel very grateful to be part of.

I am looking forward to the event and celebrating the evening with friends and colleagues who are just as excited and honoured to be on this journey with me.”

The black-tie ceremony marks the 21st consecutive year of the National Care Awards. The evening is a celebration of the most accomplished people within the care sector.

The 2019 winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel on the 29th November.
