Team member at Lakeview Care Home wins Surrey Care Award

We are delighted to announce that a care worker at Lakeview, our care home in Lightwater, has won a prestigious award.

Lifestyles Team Leader Jean Griffiths was presented with the ‘Most Innovative Activities Programme Involving Service Users’ title at the Surrey Care Awards which took place on Friday.

The Surrey Care Awards, established in 2008, seeks to acknowledge and celebrate the very best people in the care sector, in and around the Surrey area.

Jean said: “I am absolutely overwhelmed to have won the Most Innovative Activities Programme award at the Surrey Care Awards.

“It was overwhelming to be shortlisted for the award, but winning it in front of my colleagues and over all the other deserving candidates was a feeling I will never forget.

“I love my job at Lakeview Care Home and can’t wait to continue providing the residents with meaningful activities.”

General Manager at Lakeview Care Home, Inderpreet Hanzra said: “We are all so proud of Jean here at Lakeview Care Home.

“Jean works extremely hard to ensure that there is a varied lifestyles programme at the home for all the residents to enjoy.

“She is a real credit to the home and is fully deserving of this fantastic accolade.”

The glittering awards ceremony took place at Epsom Downs racecourse on Friday.
