Team members and residents at our Leigh-on-Sea care home are celebrating after receiving an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission.
The health watchdog gave Admiral Court, our care home on Manchester Drive the maximum overall rating putting it in a small percentage of care homes across the country to achieve this high standard.
The report praised our residential, nursing and dementia home for their ‘caring and supportive culture’ and out of five key areas reviewed, four of the five were rated ‘Outstanding’ whilst one was rated as ‘Good.’
Our home was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in the areas of ‘effective,’ ‘caring,’ ‘responsive’ and ‘well led’ ‘and ‘Good’ for its service being ‘safe.’
The planned inspection took place on 12th February and the report that was published on 4th April said: “There were numerous examples of people’s everyday lives being enhanced by creative, compassionate care with an extremely varied lifestyles programme.
“The provider had strong visions and values focused on maximising people’s quality of life and cultivated a caring and supportive culture.”
One resident was also quoted in the report, they said: “I feel safe because there is always someone around to see if you are alright.”
General Manager at Admiral Court, Susan Cruse said: “I am incredibly proud that the home has been recognised as Outstanding by CQC.
“Behind every success is hard work and passion and my team are so dedicated, enthusiastic and courageous to try new things in order to enable the residents to live active and fulfilled lives.
“I would like to thank the residents, relatives and team members for supporting Admiral Court and making every day a true pleasure. I look forward to the next stages of our journey together.”
Ram Goyal, the Managing Director and owner of the care home said, “I am absolutely delighted! To have the team at Admiral Court recognised for their amazing work by our regulator is a wonderful affirmation of what Hallmark is all about. Every resident is treated as an individual and the teams show professionalism, enthusiasm and compassion towards everyone. All this within the same week our Billericay home, Anisha Grange, also received an Outstanding rating. I could not be happier for them”
“This is a true testament to the care and dedication given by the teams and how the wellbeing of our residents is always at the forefront of their mind. I could not be prouder of the whole team and how they continue to provide the very best relationship-centred care. What a wonderful morale boost for all our teams, particularly in these difficult times.”
