Anisha Grange receives special donation from local radio station

Anisha Grange, our care home in Billericay, Essex, were delighted to receive a special donation from a local radio station.

Gateway 97.8, which operates from Basildon Eastgate Centre, recently donated 10 radios to the residents at Anisha Grange as part of a special project.

The project, in partnership with Basildon Round Table, called ‘On the Radio’ aims to help vulnerable local residents by providing them with a vital source of news information and companionship during these uncertain times.

Station Director, Danny Lawrence, said: “Gateway is delighted to run this project for the people of the borough. It is a lovely idea to reach so many more people. I would like to thank Basildon Round Table for making this possible”

Customer Relationship Manager at Anisha Grange Care Home, Carl Roberts said: “The generosity of our friends at Gateway FM is appreciated and the residents really benefit, a big thank you to Danny and the team!

“Music is so important for wellbeing and can be very stimulating to those residents living with dementia. Having more music playing will only support the happiness of the home.”

The scheme is taking place until 30th April, or until the station runs out of its limited supply.
