Maycroft Manor to support Ageing Well Festival
Maycroft Manor, our award-winning care home in Brighton is supporting the Ageing Well Festival which will take place virtually next week from Thursday 1st October.
During the two-week festival which seeks to celebrate International Olders Persons Day and ageing itself, Maycroft Manor will support by hosting a music and wellbeing session alongside other local organisations and activities.
This session will be taking place on Friday 2nd October from 2pm-3pm and will be hosted by Maycroft Manor’s Lifestyle Leader, Emily Carver.
During this activity participants can learn how music affects mood and how you can use music playlists to aid memory, recollection and reminiscence. In the interactive session you will also learn how to create a meaningful musical playlist for yourself and your loved ones.
Please note to take part you will need A4 paper and a dark, thick marker pen or felt tip. As part of the session you will also receive information about free resources you can use to start putting together a playlist for yourself or others.
To book onto this session please email Lifestyles.Maycroft@hallmarkcarehomes.co.uk.
