Greenhill Manor awarded top review score

Our care home in Merthyr Tydfil has been awarded the top review score by independent care website, carehome.co.uk.

Greenhill Manor is amongst four of 1041 care homes in Wales to achieved an overall 10 recommendation rating.

Our dementia, nursing and young physically disabled care home on Duffryn Road, was recognised by the leading review website for care homes, for the number and quality of recommendations they received from residents and relatives in the last year.

In order to review the home, visitors fill out a recommendation form, scoring the home on a range of areas from care to facilities and food and drink.

One recent review from relative William T said: “My father was living in Greenhill for the last 18 months of his life and I can’t stress enough what a positive impact the staff and the home had on his last year and a half of life, not only for him but for my mother as well.

“Before moving to Greenhill my father was a shadow of his former self, but the staff at Greenhill got his confidence back, treated him with dignity and got his smile back.

“He was often getting involved in activities in and around the home whenever we visited him in the cosy café on site, he was always full of stories of what he had been up to.

“During Covid, it was obviously more difficult to see him regularly but the home worked within government recommendations to him and other residents safe. Speaking on Facetime we could keep in contact until the end.

“The warmth and care given by every member of staff is something my family will never forget, and if we were ever in the same position, we would not hesitate to use Greenhill again.”
