Hutton View to provide Christmas dinner to a family in need
Hutton View, our brand-new care home in Hutton, Brentwood, will be collecting items as part of a local Christmas hamper initiative to help provide a Christmas dinner for a family in need.
The initiative, set up by The Daily Bread Café at St Peter’s Church in Hutton, hopes to spread Christmas cheer with the help of local residents and businesses.
Hutton View will be collecting; Christmas crackers, Christmas pudding, biscuits, chocolate, gravy, stuffing, jam, pickle, cheese and crackers, crisps and snacks, yule log or Christmas cake, Soft drinks, cranberry sauce, and cream or custard. These items will make up hampers which can be given to local families.
The Daily Bread Café said; “We are hoping to bring a little joy to as many families as we can at the end of what has been an unprecedented year of struggle. Where many families, who never dreamt they would ever need the services of a foodbank, have found themselves with few options to feed their families.”
Lifestyle Lead at Hutton View, Lucienne Hunt said: “This year we are delighted to support the Daily Bread Café in their quest to provide local families with a hamper this Christmas. This list is posted throughout Hutton View, and hopefully we can support some local families during this season and during the coming year.”
Customer Relationship Manager at Hutton View said: “It’s great to be able to support the Daily Bread Café in this lovely community initiative. Christmas can be a difficult time for many families and this is even more true in 2020. Hutton View is delighted to collect for the Hamper and we hope to be able to support more widely into the new year.”
