Ty Enfys Care Home lifts spirits with Christmas light switch on
Our care home in Pentwyn has attempted to lift the spirts of our residents and employees with a Christmas light switch on ceremony.
Our industry-leading home, which provides residential, nursing and dementia care decorated the entire building and gardens with festive lights and garlands to celebrate the start of December and boost morale.
Team members and residents gathered outside and enjoyed mince pies and mulled wine as they watched resident Michael Rice switch on its extensive lights.
Nurse, Sona Johns said: “In this difficult time it was so wonderful to have a grand opening to our Christmas celebrations at Ty Enfys. The lights are lifting everyone’s spirits and bringing back some wonderful memories of Christmas. We are determined to make this the best Christmas possible for our residents.”
Resident Michael Rice, 76 said: “I’ve been here about six months. It’s a nice, comfortable home. You couldn’t wish for better. Everyone is very friendly here and there is plenty of entertainment. I was thrilled to be asked to switch on the Christmas lights for the home. It looked fantastic visually and you could see the residents looked very pleased and excited to see how it looked.”
