Henley Manor receives Good CQC rating in first inspection

Team members and residents at our Henley-on-Thames care home are celebrating after receiving an ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission in their first inspection.

The health watchdog praised our care home on Mill Lane for their ‘personalised care’ and out of five key areas reviewed, one was rated ‘Outstanding’ whilst the others were rated as ‘Good.’

Our residential, nursing and dementia home was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in the area of ‘responsive’, and Good for its service being ‘caring, ‘safe,’ ‘effective’ and ‘well led.’

The planned inspection took place on 19th May and the report that was published on 14th July said: “People living at Henley Manor were supported to lead purposeful lives, engaging with their families and the local community. Whilst adjustments had been made due to the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic, measures had remained in place to ensure meaningful relationships and people’s overall health and wellbeing was maintained.”

One relative was also quoted in the report, they said: “They are a very caring, personable team and have given genuine care to my mum. The staff have a very client focused attitude. They are friendly, welcoming and professional.”

General Manager at Henley Manor Care Home, Ellie Faramarzian said: “I am absolutely thrilled with our inspection outcome and I would like to congratulate my team who have worked tirelessly the past 15 months for achieving this amazing result. I am so grateful to be working with them all, each member of the team has been so dedicated and passionate in achieving our vision, and this positive result can only be achieved through team work.”
