Hallmark Care Homes to sponsor and take part in 29km walk for Sussex hospice

On Saturday 21st August, 10 employees from Hallmark Care Homes will be taking part in a gruelling 29km walk across the south coast of Sussex to raise funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

The participants which include Hallmark’s Founder, Avnish Goyal, will start the challenging Wilf Walk at the East Sussex village of Alfriston and finish at Norman’s Bay.

St Wilfrid’s is a charity which supports people to live well until the end of their life and ensures that nobody dies alone, afraid or in pain. They also provide invaluable support to families and friends and voluntary gifts fund 70% of their vital work.

Hallmark Care Homes’ newest home in Eastbourne, Willingdon Park Manor is delighted to be the headline sponsor for the Wilf Walk this year and is providing all the entrants with a takeaway bag at the finishing line.

The home on Kings Drive, will provide industry-leading, residential and dementia care and will have state of art facilities such as a café, cinema, hairdressers, and ice cream parlour. It is expected to open in summer 2022.

PR Manager at Hallmark Care Homes, Verity Prentice said: “St Wilfrid’s Hospice is an amazing charity which positively impacts the lives of so many families facing difficult times. We are looking forward to supporting this charity in the coming years and their future work.”

The group have already raised over £350 for the hospice with a goal of £500. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hallmarkcare
