Anya Court to ‘Walk 30 miles in September’

Team members, residents and relatives from Anya Court, our care home in Rugby, will be taking part in ‘Walk 30 miles in September’ – an initiative created by Dementia UK.

Dementia UK is a charity which whose vision is to provide specialist and compassionate support for all families that need it, through their Admiral Nurse service.

Every day, team members, residents and relatives will walk a mile around the landscaped gardens which has been marked out by the Maintenance Manager at the home.

General Manager, Michelle Sides said: “We are all very excited to see that things are starting to get back to normal and we are able to become part of the community again.

“Anya Court believe that being involved will not only bring physical and social benefits for the residents and the team, it will allow them to have fun, promote their general wellbeing and continue to live well.

“We recognise the dedication and commitment from Dementia UK and are keen to be supporting such a great cause.”

The home will also be serving afternoon tea or breakfast rolls to those walking too to say thank you for their contribution.
