Lakeview Care Home celebrate Global Handwashing Day

Team members and residents at Lakeview, our care home in Lightwater, Surrey, recently celebrated Global Handwashing Day.

The team at the home hosted a variety of games such as a wet sponge throwing competition to destroy a tower of germs and a glove themed tombola, as well as shoot the germs.

The residents also enjoyed taking part in a treasure hunt ‘gems of germs’ and played ‘catch that germ.’

Inder Hanzra, General Manager at Lakeview Care Home said: “We had a great day of fun with all of the team and residents at Lakeview using innovative games and messages to continue to raise awareness and ensure that hand hygiene is always at the forefront of our minds.

“All of the team have regular handwashing training and we are all committed to ensuring that hand hygiene is always part of our behaviour at home, at work and at play”
