Two Hallmark homes shortlisted for national design awards
Hutton View our state-of-the-art care home in Brentwood, Essex, has been shortlisted for a prestigious design award, alongside Alexandra Grange, our care home in Wokingham.
Hutton View Care Home is in the running for the ‘Luxury Care Home’ award at the esteemed Knight Frank Healthcare Property Dinner, alongside Alexandra Grange, which is up for the ‘Refurbishment and Renovation’ award.
The awards, which are organised by estate agents Knight Frank, seek to recognise design excellence in care home businesses across the country.
Hutton View Care Home, which opened in November 2020, includes include facilities such as a luxurious hair salon, therapy room, a welcoming café complete with its own aquarium, connected to a distinctive bar, large screen cinema and surround sound complete with a starlight ceiling, and a music room with a baby grand piano, vinyl record player and LPs and selection of musical instruments.
Other design innovations include; a well-stocked library and games room, a top floor activities room with a second bar and large outdoor terrace. The home also boasts a farmhouse kitchen and further activity area with prompts which use the Montessori approach to support people living with dementia.
Alexandra Grange unveiled an £850,000 refurbishment, providing the home with enhanced facilities such as a state-of-the-art cinema, relaxing hairdressers and therapy room and a warm and inviting café.
The winners of the awards will be announced during the annual Knight Frank Healthcare Property Lunch at the London Marriott, Grosvenor Square on Thursday 7th October.
