Hallmark shortlisted for two prestigious Pinders awards

We are delighted to announce that two of our homes have been shortlisted at the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.

The national awards ceremony, first established in 1999, seeks to acknowledge the contribution made by designers, architects and the owners of care homes, hospitals and other care schemes to the well-being and quality of life for those in their care.

Henley Manor, our care home in Henley-on-Thames, has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Innovation & Environmental’ category.

The home, built by Savista Developments, boasts many innovative designs and features, such as a state-of-the-art falls monitoring system, activities room with sensory table, interactive waterproof smart tv’s in assisted bathrooms, as well as sensory pathways throughout the home and gardens and a nutrition and hydration station.

The home has also been designed with many environmental considerations, such as electric car charging ports, a CHP boiler unit, wildlife friendly planting and in line boilers to increase efficiency.

Meanwhile, Hutton View, our care home in Brentwood, also built by Savista Developments, has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Exterior Space’ category.

The gardens at Hutton View are broken down into smaller intimate spaces that are surrounded by existing trees. They also offer continual pathways taking residents and visitors past a greenhouse, summerhouse with a kitchen and outdoor WC, raised planters, an area where residents can participate in minigolf and an aviary.

Outdoor spaces have been created on the upper levels within each community and residents have access to patios with outdoor seating in the ground floor bedrooms, dining rooms and lounges.

Managing Director of Hallmark Care Homes, Aneurin Brown said: “We are delighted to once again be shortlisted at the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.

“An enormous amount of hard work, dedication and passion has gone into creating these beautiful facilities. Being shortlisted for these awards is a wonderful acknowledgement of all that effort.”

The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in Westminster on the 16th March.
