Hallmark team members #breakthebias for International Women’s Day
Today is International Women’s Day, and we are delighted to be celebrating at Hallmark Care Homes.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
This year’s theme is #breakthebias. Read below how our inspirational team members break the bias of gender stereotypes and empower the women around them.
Victoria Oladosu – General Manager at Kew House Care Home.
My name is Victoria Oladosu.
I am a woman.
I am an Immigrant from Nigeria.
I am a General Manager at Hallmark Care Homes.
I am under 30.
I am a Chartered Manager with added qualifications in Public and Environmental Health, Healthcare Management and Strategic Management and Leadership.
In my role as a healthcare leader, I challenge gender stereotypes, discrimination and bias as I show that you do not need to be of a certain gender, race or age to show leadership and excel in a chosen field.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, It is great to see that gender stereotypes are being challenged and diverse representation of women is more evident. Collectively, everyone, everywhere can strive for women’s equality and continue to make positive gains.
I live to #breakthebias and I am committed to being a strong female leader and empowering people around me.
I will continue to #breakthbias by:
- Constantly forging positive visibility of women
- Continuing to influence and motivate others in my role as a leader
- Celebrating women’s achievements
Hannah Christopher – Lifestyles Team Leader at Ty Porth
I #breakthebias by becoming a business owner aged 20. I continue to lead the way forward with women supporting the achievements of women through my leadership role in my place of work. On my social media platform, I am an advocate for International Women’s Day not just today, but every day.
Sommer Turner – Customer Relationship Manager at Hutton View Care Home
I #breakthebias in the work place by sharing my knowledge with my team and building women up to their fullest potential. I advocate for women to be independent and strong and face adversity by supporting them to be the best version of themselves.
