Hutton View Care Home awarded ‘Good’ CQC rating
Team members and residents at our Brentwood care home are celebrating after receiving an ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission on its first inspection.
The health watchdog praised Hutton View Care Home, on Rayleigh Close, for their ‘positive and inclusive culture’ and out of five key areas reviewed, five of the five were rated ‘Good.’
Our residential, nursing and dementia home was rated as ‘Good’ in the areas of ‘effective,’ ‘caring,’ ‘responsive,’ ‘well led’ and ‘safe.’
The planned inspection took place on 23rd February and the report, that was published on 6TH April said: “The provider had a clear vision for creating high quality, personalised care for people living with dementia; promoting the importance of people’s relationships with others and encouraging strong partnership working to enable people to achieve good outcomes.”
One relative was also quoted in the report, they said: “They keep us updated about how [person] is, what they’ve been doing, and any health updates. We’ve been involved all the way through from the initial conversations before they moved in onwards.”
General Manager at Hutton View, Louise Baxter said: “I am incredibly proud that the home has been recognised as Good by CQC.
“I would like to thank the residents, relatives and team members for supporting Hutton View and making every day a true pleasure. I look forward to the next stages of our journey together.”
Martin Murphy, the Operations Director of the care home said, “It gives me great pleasure that Hutton View has been recognised by our regulator for delivering excellent care to residents.
“It is a testament to the hard work, dedication and passion of the team, which is shown consistently in everything they do. There are so many examples of the team going the extra mile in providing outstanding relationship-centred care to the residents.”
