Admiral Court Care Home celebrates 10 years!
Our Outstanding Leigh-on-Sea care home, celebrated 10 years since it first opened its doors recently with a 1920’s themed party for team members, residents and relatives.
Admiral Court Care Home, which welcomed its first residents in 2012, recognised individuals who have contributed to its success at the event with canapes, champagne, a 1920’s vintage band and magician.
All guests dressed up for the special event, which was attended by the Mayor Elect Councillor Kevin Robinson and Mayoress Elect Debbie Robinson and was culminated by speeches and 10 years’ service awards for team members; Lorraine Wright, Jennifer Hearn, and Sarah Savidge.
The Mayor also unveiled a newly installed boat in the home’s gardens as part of the ceremony which was created by Admiral Court’s gardeners Jackie Jackson, Jenifer Hearne and residents.
General Manager at Admiral Court Care Home, Susan Cruse said: “We had a great day celebrating our 10th anniversary and the residents had a fabulous time.
“All of the Admiral Court family are strongly committed to the home and foster an atmosphere of care and support that enables the residents to fulfil interesting and active lives and I am delighted to be part of such a wonderful team. We look forward to marking our next milestone!”
The Mayor Elect, Councillor Kevin Robinson said: “I was proud to be invited to celebrate Admiral Court’s ten years of business in the community. I work as a Mental Health Nurse and appreciate first-hand the hard work that goes on in care homes especially caring for people during the last few years of the pandemic.”
Resident, Jean Knapp said: “I felt really special all dressed up. The magician was very good and the music lovely. Everyone worked so hard to make it a really special day.”
