Lakeview residents transform bike for local Flower Festival

Residents at Lakeview, our care home in Lightwater, recently designed a stunning floral bike for the All Saints’ Church Flower Festival.

19 organisations took part in the annual Flower Festival, which this year had an ‘up-cycle’ theme, inspiring the residents to decoupage a bike with beautiful compostable materials. The Lifestyles Team at the home also supported residents to upcycle pots to hang from the bike, which were filled with  colourful flowers and herb plants.

Customer Relationship Manager at Lakeview Care Home, Louise Martin said: “We love being part of the vibrant community here in the village of Lightwater, Surrey.

“We work closely with All Saints’ Church; their choir often comes and sings for the residents and some of them go to the weekly church service too. We are absolutely thrilled to support the flower festival.”
